About Chlamydia treatment visit
A chlamydia visit covers confidential testing, treatment, and partner management. Recommended treatment for uncomplicated genital chlamydia is doxycycline 100 mg twice daily for 7 days; azithromycin 1 g single dose is an alternative when adherence is a concern or in pregnancy. All recent sexual partners should be evaluated and treated, and patients should abstain from sex for 7 days after a single-dose regimen or until completion of a 7-day regimen and resolution of partner symptoms. Re-testing for reinfection is recommended at 3 months.
