About Erectile dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is the consistent inability to achieve or maintain an erection adequate for satisfactory sexual activity. It is common, increases with age, and is frequently an early marker of vascular disease, diabetes, or hormonal imbalance; psychological factors, medications, sleep apnea, and tobacco use also contribute. Evaluation reviews cardiovascular risk and includes selected labs (testosterone, glucose, lipids). First-line treatment is a PDE-5 inhibitor — sildenafil, tadalafil, vardenafil, or avanafil — taken with attention to nitrate contraindications. Lifestyle improvements meaningfully enhance response.
