About Asthma management visit

An asthma management visit reviews symptom control using validated tools (ACT score), frequency of rescue inhaler use, nighttime awakenings, exacerbations, and trigger exposures. The plan is based on a stepwise approach: inhaled corticosteroid–containing therapy is foundational for all but the mildest disease, with long-acting bronchodilator added for persistent disease and biologic therapy considered for severe eosinophilic, allergic, or oral-steroid-dependent asthma. Every patient receives a written asthma action plan, an in-date rescue inhaler, and review of trigger management and vaccinations.
