A combined cold, flu, and COVID visit triages a viral respiratory illness, identifies high-risk patients who may benefit from antiviral therapy, and rules out complications such as bacterial superinfection or pneumonia. Testing for influenza and SARS-CoV-2 guides therapy: oseltamivir or baloxavir for influenza within 48 hours of onset; nirmatrelvir-ritonavir or molnupiravir for high-risk COVID within 5 days. Supportive care includes hydration, rest, antipyretics, and cough suppression. Worsening shortness of breath, persistent high fever, or chest pain warrants in-person evaluation.
