Out of refills? We'll authorize a new one — no visit required.

The most common refill snag: you go to pick up a routine medication and the pharmacy says the doctor needs to authorize more. The doctor's office is closed, on vacation, or won't return the pharmacy's fax. We bridge that gap.

How Ondoc helps

  • Submit the medication, strength, and pharmacy — takes about 2 minutes.
  • A licensed provider reviews your maintenance medication history and authorizes the refill.
  • We fax the pharmacy directly — no waiting for a returned phone call.
  • Works for routine, non-controlled medications you've been stable on.

Frequently asked

Why won't my pharmacy just refill it?
Pharmacies legally can't refill without a current authorization once your prescription's refills are exhausted or expired. They have to fax your prescriber and wait for a signed reply — which is exactly what we do, faster.
Is this the same as my regular doctor calling in the refill?
Yes — the prescriber who reviews your request is licensed in your state and signs the authorization the same way your primary care doctor would.
What if my prescription expired entirely (older than a year)?
Same process. As long as it's a stable maintenance medication, our prescribers can issue a fresh authorization after review.
