How Ondoc helps
- You don't need a referral or a chart transfer to start.
- Tell us what you take and where your pharmacy is — a licensed provider reviews same business day.
- For routine maintenance meds, no office visit is required.
- We fax the authorization to your pharmacy directly.
Need a refill? Skip the visit.
We fax your pharmacy directly — no appointment, regardless of the doctor who originally prescribed it. Under 24-hour turnaround.
Frequently asked
- My doctor said I have to come in for a visit before refilling — is that true?
- Sometimes that's clinically appropriate; sometimes it's a scheduling issue at the practice. For stable maintenance medications, a chart-review refill is a recognized standard of care and what our prescribers provide.
- My doctor retired and the practice is closed. What now?
- Very common. Submit your refill request — our prescribers can review pharmacy fill history and old labels to authorize routine refills without your prior chart.
- Will my old doctor know?
- No. The refill authorization comes from our prescriber to your pharmacy. We don't notify or contact your prior doctor.
Other common refill situations
Lost prescription
I lost my pill bottle / left it at home / luggage lost — I need a refill fast.
Out of refills
My pharmacy says 'no refills remaining' and my doctor won't return calls.
Moved states — need a refill
I just moved to a new state, haven't picked a new doctor yet, but my refills are running out.
