About Allergic reaction visit
An allergic reaction visit triages the severity of the reaction. Localized hives or mild swelling without airway, breathing, or circulatory involvement usually respond to removal of the trigger and a non-sedating oral antihistamine. Anaphylaxis — airway swelling, wheeze, hypotension, GI symptoms — is a medical emergency requiring immediate intramuscular epinephrine and emergency care, not virtual management. Patients with prior anaphylaxis should carry two epinephrine auto-injectors, have a written action plan, and be referred for allergy evaluation.
