eGFR (Estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate)

A blood test that estimates how well your kidneys filter waste.

eGFR is calculated from creatinine, age, and sex. Above 90 is generally normal; under 60 for more than 3 months indicates chronic kidney disease. Many common medications need dose adjustment when eGFR drops.
