A Zocdoc alternative with one flat booking fee

Zocdoc charges a new-patient booking fee that varies by specialty and location. Ondoc uses one flat $20 Marketplace fee for every booking, and adds a second way to work: take Ondoc patient assignments and earn $30 each time you complete one.

  • Flat $20 per Marketplace booking, the same for every specialty and location
  • No signup or monthly fee
  • Self-pay visits ($50 or $100) are collected by Ondoc and credited to you
  • Optional Ondoc assignments at $30 per completed visit
  • One monthly statement nets fees and earnings

How your balance works

  • Insurance Marketplace booking-$20
  • $50 self-pay booking (Ondoc collects $50, minus $20 fee)+$30
  • $100 self-pay booking (Ondoc collects $100, minus $20 fee)+$80
  • Completed Ondoc assignment+$30

Example: one insurance booking (-$20) plus one completed assignment (+$30) leaves you at +$10.

Questions

Is the $20 fee charged on repeat visits?
Yes. Ondoc's fee is the same $20 for every Marketplace booking, so it is simple to predict.
What does it cost to list my practice?
Nothing to join and no monthly fee. Ondoc records a $20 Marketplace fee for each booking a patient makes with you through Ondoc, whether they use insurance or self-pay.
How does self-pay work?
You choose a $50 or $100 self-pay visit. The patient pays Ondoc at booking through Ondoc's secure checkout, and the full amount is credited to your balance. The $20 Marketplace fee is recorded separately, so a $50 visit nets +$30 and a $100 visit nets +$80.
How does insurance work?
For insurance bookings you bill and collect from the insurer and patient yourself, exactly as you do today. Ondoc records only the $20 Marketplace fee.
