UTI (Urinary Tract Infection)

Also called: bladder infection, cystitis

A bacterial infection of the bladder, urethra, or kidneys.

Most UTIs are uncomplicated bladder infections (cystitis) causing burning urination, urgency, and pelvic pressure. They're typically treated with a 3-7 day antibiotic course. Fever, back pain, or vomiting may indicate a kidney infection (pyelonephritis) and need urgent evaluation.
