ACE Inhibitor
A common blood-pressure medication that also protects kidneys.
ACE inhibitors (lisinopril, enalapril, ramipril) relax blood vessels by blocking the angiotensin-converting enzyme. They lower blood pressure, protect the kidneys in diabetes, and reduce heart-failure hospitalizations. A dry cough is the most common reason patients switch to an ARB.
