Frequently asked
- What is included in an annual physical?
- A full review of medical and family history, age- and risk-appropriate physical exam, blood pressure and BMI, USPSTF-recommended screenings, immunization review, and ordering of preventive labs such as lipid panel, A1c, and CBC where appropriate.
- Is this the same as a Medicare Annual Wellness Visit?
- No. A Medicare AWV is a specific covered benefit that must be billed by an enrolled Medicare provider. Ondoc's annual physical is a comprehensive preventive visit for adults who pay out of pocket or use commercial insurance.
- Can you order labs in advance?
- Yes. We send standing orders to Quest or LabCorp so your results are back before the visit, and the prescriber reviews them with you.
- What about a DOT, sports, or pre-employment physical?
- Those are separate forms with specific requirements. See our DOT physical and sports physical pages.
