Refill
An additional fill of an existing prescription, up to the authorized limit.
Most non-controlled prescriptions are written with up to 11 refills lasting a year. When refills run out — or the prescription expires — you need a new prescription, which usually requires a brief check-in to confirm the medication is still working and safe.
