Controlled Substance
A medication regulated by the DEA because of abuse or dependence potential.
Controlled substances are grouped into Schedules II-V. Schedule II (e.g. amphetamines, oxycodone) is the most restricted and requires an in-person evaluation in most states. Most telehealth services, including Ondoc, do not prescribe controlled substances without an established relationship.
