What Ondoc does not handle

We can't complete FMLA paperwork, short- or long-term disability forms, ADA workplace accommodations, or prescribe controlled substances (e.g., Adderall, Xanax, testosterone, opioids). Those require an established in-person relationship with a treating provider.

Real clinician review

Your visit is reviewed by a board-certified clinician licensed in your state — not a templated form generator.

Accepted by HR & schools

Notes include the provider's name, license, NPI, and signature so employers and registrars accept them.

Insurance billed

Most plans cover the visit. We bill your insurance instead of charging you up front when eligible.

What you get

  • Signed PDF note with the clinician's name, license, and NPI
  • Dates covered (single day or a defined recovery window)
  • Optional accommodations (rest, no travel, work-from-home) when clinically appropriate
  • Follow-up note available if symptoms persist

FAQs

Is this a real doctor's note?

Yes. The note is signed by a licensed clinician after a clinical review of your symptoms. It includes the provider's full credentials so employers, schools, and airlines can verify it.

How fast will I get the note?

Most notes are sent the same day after the clinician reviews your visit. Complex cases or requests that need additional information may take longer.

Can the note cover a past date?

Clinicians can document a past illness when your symptoms and timeline make it clinically reasonable. It's at the provider's discretion based on what you describe.

Will my employer accept this?

Most employers accept notes from any licensed clinician. Ours include the provider's name, license number, NPI, and signature — the same information a clinic note would carry.

Do you take insurance?

Yes. We bill your insurance when your plan covers a telehealth visit for this reason. If it isn't covered, the cash price is shown before you book.
