About Podiatry
Podiatrists are specialists in the medical and surgical care of the foot, ankle, and lower extremity. They manage diabetic foot disease, ulcers, infections, ingrown toenails, plantar fasciitis, neuromas, bunions, hammertoes, tendon disorders, sports injuries, and pediatric foot problems. Care includes orthotics, wound care, in-office procedures, and surgical reconstruction when needed. Regular podiatric foot exams reduce amputation risk in diabetes and are an essential component of preventive care.
Ondoc doesn't replace your podiatry specialist — we help you get to one. Your PCP visit covers the work-up, basic management, and the signed referral so the specialist can see you faster.
