About Skin infection visit

A skin infection visit evaluates cellulitis, abscesses, impetigo, and infected wounds using photos and a structured history. Cellulitis without purulence is treated with oral antibiotics covering streptococci; purulent infections, especially in regions with high MRSA prevalence, require coverage for resistant Staph and often incision and drainage of any abscess. Diabetic foot infections, rapidly spreading infection, immunocompromise, animal or human bites, and signs of sepsis warrant in-person evaluation rather than virtual care.
