UTI treatment with Allegiance

If you carry Allegiance, your telehealth UTI visit is usually covered the same as an in-person urgent-care visit. The antibiotic, when prescribed, runs through your pharmacy benefit.

Ondoc accepts Medicare, self-pay, and major commercial insurance. Medicaid is not accepted.

FAQs for Allegiance Benefit Plan Management members

Does Allegiance cover telehealth UTI visits?

Most Allegiance plans cover acute-care telehealth visits at parity with in-person urgent care. Select insurance during discovery to see Ondoc’s current payer status. Member-specific eligibility, active status, and benefits are verified by our insurance verification team.

Will the antibiotic be covered under Allegiance?

First-line UTI antibiotics (nitrofurantoin, TMP-SMX, fosfomycin) are on virtually every Allegiance formulary — typically Tier 1 generics.

What if insurance does not apply?

Self-pay is available for the Ondoc visit, and you choose whether to continue before any payment.
