Telehealth Pediatrician

Responsibilities

Provide virtual pediatric care to Ondoc-assigned patients within the clinician’s licensed states. Evaluate common pediatric illnesses and concerns, document encounters in the Ondoc clinical platform, develop appropriate treatment plans, prescribe when clinically appropriate, provide follow-up guidance, and refer patients for in-person or higher-level care when indicated. Maintain timely documentation and independent clinical judgment for every patient encounter. Set your own availability and care for Ondoc-assigned patients through our clinical platform while retaining independent clinical judgment for every encounter.

Qualifications

MD or DO with completion of an accredited pediatric residency. Active, unrestricted medical license in one or more U.S. states. Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics. Comfortable providing evidence-based pediatric care by telehealth. Strong clinical documentation and communication skills. Must maintain all professional credentials and malpractice coverage required for the care provided. Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics

How provider participation works

Ondoc connects approved clinicians with insured and self-pay patients seeking online care. Ondoc handles patient billing and collections. Providers do not bill or collect payment directly from patients for Ondoc-assigned care. Eligible completed assignments are paid according to the applicable provider agreement, with rates starting at $30 per completed assignment. Payer denial alone does not eliminate payment for an otherwise eligible completed assignment. Assignment volume is not guaranteed. Providers maintain the professional licenses, required credentials, and professional liability coverage applicable to the care they provide and retain independent clinical judgment for every patient encounter.
